Our speaker at the February Banquet was really more of a musician than a speaker! "Bugler Bill" Crowder played to the audience in a captivating program! Bill played over 20 different calls and described the history of many of the calls and how there were used to relay signals to maneuver and fire as well as how they were used to regulate and signal everyday camp routine.

Our speaker for the May 14th meeting was State Representative Dean Urdahl.

He is Co-Chair of the Minnesota Civil War Commemorative Task Force. Mr. Urdahl has authored several books. One about former members of the Minnesota Twins and another about famous Minnesotans. However, he has also written two historical novels set in Minnesota during the Dakota War of 1862. A great program, thank you Representative Urdahl and all those who attended!
